BEDA

1 August 2010

There appears to be a BEDA bandwagon, so I guess I’ll hop on.

BEDA is Blogging Every Day in August, which means that I’ll be blogging every day for the next month, which isn’t true, because, knowing myself, I’ll blog for two or three days straight, then decide to do something else less productive with my time (see also: StarCraft II)

For today’s blog, I’m going to (more…)

Wandering Ponderings

6 February 2010

I think this is generally where I’m supposed to say something like, “Wow, it’s been a long time since I updated this,” or, “Sorry I haven’t posted in a while,” or, “I’ve been too busy,” etc, but the truth is that I haven’t too busy;  I kind of forgot my blog existed.

I’ve always been this way: I get interested with something, be it writing music, writing stories, making videos, keeping a blog, knitting, working out, reading, or a plethora of other endeavors, and I work on it with a certain zeal, and then I suddenly find myself interested in something else.  I think I’ve inherited this trait from my father, though it afflicts him in a different way: he spends a bunch of money on books or equipment in preparation for a given hobby, but tends to lose interest before actually getting into it.

To a certain extent, (more…)

Fiesta!

30 April 2009

On Sunday, April 19th, I was dropped off in Venice, California to attend a top-secret Fiesta Movement mission briefing. I, along with roughly forty others, was ushered into a building and instructed to mingle and consume food.

Woes

8 April 2009

I currently have a massive headache that is making it difficult for me to think effectively, so I’ll apologize in advance if this post ends up not flowing very well.

As many readers of this blog will be aware, in addition to my personal channel, I have a channel called VlogRamen over on YouTube that I run with my long-time friend, Stefan Chin. For a multitude of reasons, I’ve not had the time or energy to post videos over there for a little over a month. I had planned to post a return-to-VlogRamen video this week, then last night happened.

As I was attempting to fix some issues with my video driver, (more…)

New Beginnings

25 March 2009

It’s been a very long time since I’ve kept a blog. I used to write fairly often on my MySpace blog back in the day, but since launching Arandavision on my YouTube channel at the end of 2007, it hasn’t ever gotten near the top of my to-do list. But now, since I’m trying to take myself more seriously as an online content producer, I’ve set up this new place of bloggage.

I’ll be blogging here on a semi-regular basis. Hopefully some of you will find enough interest in my writings to stick around.

I spent many hours going through my old MySpace blogs and moving them over to this new site. Feel free to poke around through my archives of literature. There’s something like sixty four entries spanning the time from my first year of college through October of 2007. If you have time, leave a few comments here and there.

It’s odd to read things from up to five years ago and realize, in some instances, just how much my way of thinking has changed. Things I used to be concerned about now seem trivial and silly.

This is a good sign, though, for once you’ve lost the ability to change the way you look at the world, you’ve become irrelevant. People, societies, and humanity as a whole are in a state of constant change. Remaining stubbornly set in your current way of thinking puts you at great risk to end up left behind.

Keep an open mind. Welcome the opportunity to be proven wrong. Contrary to the way most of us think, being wrong is never a bad thing; it elevates you to a higher level of understanding.
