Chauffer
Today I was the chauffer for Stefan’s mother and four of her friends. They were having a girls night out… and they wanted someone to be their driver so they could drink all they wanted. So…
Our journey took us to Newport Beach, where we stopped at some place called Villa Nova so that they could get some drinks. Then, it was off to Roy’s at Fashion Island. While they were eating, drinking, talking and laughing inside for three and a half hours, I wandered around the mall.
I treated myself to a banana split, stared at this crazy fountain they’ve got there for like an hour… and watched people with their families walk around, looking all happy. It kinda made me wish I had someone to hold hands with while I was walking around. Holding hands with yourself is terribly unsatisfying.
There’s a Build-A-Bear Workshop at the mall, too, which made me smile.
After the women were done eating, they all piled back into the car.. and we were off for home. As one can imagine, five drunk women in a car is… interesting. It actually made me think… I don’t ever want to be married to someone like them. I’ve always been very turned off by girls who get all “Girl Power!”ish. They were all talking bad about their husbands and their ungrateful children…
I want my wife to brag to her girlfriends about me…
